‘The Spirit of Nature’ oracle deck is one that I have been eyeing for quite some time. It is also a deck which was out of print with resells for up to $700 AUS at one time! A few years later I was delighted to find the deck back in reprint without the previously seen price tag. I must admit I am a big fan of the artwork by Bill Worthington, of which I have the joy of looking at in two other decks he has done the artwork for. There’s an old world/European feel to me which is not just classic but also adds depth to the nature spirits he brings to life. This oracle deck is based on the Celt Tree Ogham, with a handy box which has its own pull out drawer. If only all decks would have this, it would make life easier especially when you have over a hundred decks in divination practice. I must note that the order of the trees do not reflect the old Druidic order of the grove and is a corrupted variant due to forced conversion into Abrahamism, which mixed up the Celtic alphabet. The deck contains 25 oracle cards in correspondence to the 25 tree ogham’s in Druidic practice and it comes with a companion book. The book contains 128 pages and is an easy quick read, albeit with a few errors in print or editing, but more on the book contents later in which I will share some pictures from it and its layout. This set was first published in 2003 by Connections Book Publishing in Great Britain. Which brings me to one of my main qualms with this edition is that it is printed in China and the Card stock quality is appalling compared to other thick glossy cards in the Druidic oracle line, with art done by Bill Worthington. I just hope this isn’t going to become an occurring thing with print in China, for I will stop collecting Oracle and Tarot decks that do this. I'm not a fan of double bordered divination cards so meanwhile I have trimmed and edged this deck to custom, for myself, along with refitted the accompanying box drawer. I have also knitted an oracle bag for this deck and home another Druidic tree Ogham deck ‘Voice of the Trees’ with this one. That said I just may reorder things and place this deck with the other Druidic Plant Oracle deck and keep this box for the Animal Druidic deck with the ‘Faery Celtic’ deck, Hmmm will see. Please note; this is not a paid presentation and the opinions herein are my own. From the Chapter 'The Spirit of Nature Oracle' The Oracle Cards (In deck order);
